I did a short story in today’s News-Times about an ad hoc Common Council committee that will most likely be created next month regarding the CT Film Festival.

The ad hoc committee will make a recommendation as whether the council should again contribute public money to the CT Film Festival.

Also, Tom Carruthers and the CT Film Fest organizers are scheduled to have a volunteer appreciation picnic this Sunday in Putnam State Park in Redding.

It’s scheduled to take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Again, it’s Sunday, June 29.

I can’t believe it is almost July!
