WHAT:
Saturday Nightmares Expo: A George Romero convention, essentially.
PROS:
* Great setting! The Landmark Lowes was a perfect fit for this intimate, laid-back show.
* The “Dawn of the Dead” panel was outstanding
* PRICE: $20 per day, when ordered in advance. Friday night there were no lines for anything — even Romero.
CONS:
* The Ramada: It’s a stone’s throw from the theater, but the front desk if run by some paramilitary organization. We were a handful of guests there for the Saturday Nightmares Expo. Saturday evening, the hotel threatened to chuck us onto the street. IN JERSEY CITY, NO LESS. I’ll never go back.
