Apparently actress Demi Moore and her Twitter followers helped save a person contemplating suicide this morning.

sandieguy to Demi Moore: “I’m just wondering if anyone cares that I’m gonna kill myself now”
(then, a post to Twitter in general from sandieguy): <—getting a knife. Going to have a cigarette and I don’t even smoke.
sandieguy to Demi Moore: “@mrskutcher getting a knife, a big one that is sharp. Going to cut my arm down the whole arm so it doesn’t waste time.”
Moore to sandieguy: “Hope you are joking” RT @sandieguy getting a knife,a big one that is sharp. Going to cut my arm down the whole arm so it doesn’t waste time.
(Moore’s followers start calling San Jose PD, according to Moore’s Twitter page.)
Moore says to followers: TY RT @toadjumps the twitterverse is on the case just called silicon valley pd to report this woman many others had called. fingers crossed.
Moore posts (about three hours after initial suicide report) “Thanks everyone for reaching out to the San Jose PD i am told they are aware and no need to call anymore. I do not know this woman….”
A few posts later, Moore says: “It is my understanding that the situation was not a joke and that through the collective efforts here action was taken to provide help!”
